Mobile Broadband & M2M Solutions

Mobile Broadband is a solution for the institutions / companies' internet / WAN / M2M telecommunications needs, which start with GPRS / EDGE and become available today with 3G / HSPA ( UMTS / HSDPA / HSUPA ) and which are being developed such technologies as HSPA+ / LTE / Wimax.

GSM (Global System for Mobile Telecommunication): The service was put in use in 1991. Also known as 2G, GSM supports voice and SMS services with the speed of 9.6 Kbps.

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service): GPRS, also known as 2,5G, was started to be used at the beginning of the year 2000. Whilst its maximum downlink speed is 115 Kbps, it provides an average speed of 40-50 Kbps in practice.

EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution): Edge was began to be used in the begining of the year 2003, and although it is called as 2,75 G it is a 3G( Third Generation ) technology indeed. Whilst its theoratical maximum speed is 474 Kbps, it can support an avarage speed of 70-130 Kbps in practice.

3G / UMTS / WCDMA: 3G technology was started to be used in 2001, providing a speed of 384 Kbps.

HSPA (High Speed Packed Access): HSPA was put in use in the year 2005, which offers a speed of 14,4 Mbps and consists of HSDPA / HSUPA technologies.

HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packed Access): HSDPA, being an HSPA technologies, provides a downlink speed of 1,8 / 3,6 / 7,2 / 14,4 Mbps.

HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packed Access): HSUPA, being an HSPA technology, provides an uplink speed of 384 Kbps / 2 / 5,76 Mbps.

HSPA+ (High Speed Packed Access Evolution): HSPA + has started to be used in 2009. Thanks to the newly developed technologies, HSPA+ offers a downlink speed of 21 / 42 Mbps and an uplink speed of 11,52 Mbps.

LTE (Long Term Evolution): By the means of the emerging technologies, downlink speed will be up to 172/326 Mbps and uplink speed will be up to 57/86 Mbps in the future (this is not in use today).

LTE+ (LTE Advanced): The target is to reach up to a speed of 1Gbps with LTE+ which is also known as 4G.

WIMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access)

Evolved Edge: It is targeted to reach a downlik speed of 1,89 Mbps and an uplink speed of 947 Kbps.

M2M (Machine to Machine)
